HOTELS

The Bear Hotel, Crickhowell. Tel 01873 810408. NGR SO/217184.
Our main base for over 30 years! Lots of oak beams, roaring log fires and friendly, obliging staff all add to the unique, relaxing atmosphere of this incredibly busy, award winning, 3 star hotel. Conveniently situated on the main road at the end of the High Street and a focal point of the local community, both accommodation and food are to an exceptional standard. The Bear is a firm favourite with many of our regulars - indeed, we often bump into past clients here! Early booking recommended.

The Dragon Hotel, Crickhowell. Tel 01873 810362. NGR SO/217183.
This small, cosy hotel is situated in a central position at the opposite end of the High Street to our base. The building itself is extremely old, and the rooms are quaint with beams and uneven floors. The staff are friendly and the food is good! For those of you with large cars, be warned that access to the car park is extremely narrow!

The Manor Hotel, Crickhowell. Tel 01873 810212. NGR SO/213194.
The birthplace and former family home of Sir George Everest (the Surveyor General of India, after whom Mount Everest is named), this welcoming hotel is set in a stunning position about a kilometre from the centre of Crickhowell, with huge views over the Usk Valley. The rooms are comfortable, the food is good, and there is a small leisure suite comprising indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam-room, and a small but well-equipped gym.
